Android L-Lollipop was released last year with Nexus 6 and Nexus 9.Android lollipop introduced fully new user interface to android os.Everything got the material design look and feel.Some e3xtra and helpful features were added.Now this year Android is going to launch the android M with its upcoming Nexus devices.

Android M: Name :-

As you guys know Android Lollipop is now on version 5.1.So everyone thinks the next android M is going to be Android 6.0.But according to reports dating July 21, we may not be looking at a version 6.0 at all, rather a version 5.2.The software is expected to be given a name for its “M”.There are a lot of rumors about its name, but none of these is officially confirmed.

Android has a track record naming their android versions in alphabetical order: Cupcake, Donut, Eclair, Froyo, Gingerbread, Honeycomb, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, KitKat, Lollipop, and now we’re at “M”.The current speculation is Milkshake.But time will tell which name it gets.

Android M: Release Date :-

It is not confirmed yet.According to rumors, it will be launched very soon with next Nexus lineup devices(LG Nexus 5 2015 & Huawei Nexus).According to a post on knowyourmobile, Sony confirmed it would support the Android M preview on quite a few of its handsets, starting at the end of June. So far, the handsets included are as follows: Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia E3, Xperia M2, Xperia T2 Ultra and the Xperia T3.Google’s 2015 Nexus handset is expected to launch alongside Android M and will either be built by LG or Huawei – or there will be two handsets, each from either manufacturer.
